Position Summary:

Job Responsibility:
- To profitably grow the business and achieve Business Unit, Division and Corporate goals monthly, quarterly and annually. Works with current and potential customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services.
- Establishes and maintains premier customer service.
- Leads strategy deployment for the operation concentrating on Lean Initiatives and Sales growth. Leads Manufacturing, Applications Engineering, and Sales/Marketing functions to ensure operational efficiency and economy.
- Accountable for driving Lean Initiatives throughout the operation to ensure they are fully embraced and implemented.
- Ensures the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving logistics.
- Develops a budget plan and manages operation within budget constraints.
- Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
- Represents the operation at the Business Unit and Division levels.
- Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.

We require a freelancer to work with us on a 2-3 week project to conduct due diligence / research of the manufacturing operations of a particular consumer products company that does business in the Philippines. We are looking for a professional and experienced business researcher, preferably one that has a good understanding of the manufacturing process and supply chain concepts and terminology. An understanding of the consumer products business and a good network of contacts within it would be very helpful. Generally, the topics include gaining an understanding of the manufacturing operations, financial data, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing and supply chain. The researcher should be a native speaker of Tagalog and have significant experience of living and working in the Philippines.

Methodology for conducting research includes secondary research (e.g. online information sources) and primary research (interviews with industry contacts). We expect that more than 80% of the information required will come from primary resources. The researcher must have experience in cold-calling potential research contacts and extracting useful information from these sources.

The researcher will work out of our office in Shanghai, which is located near Xintiandi.
