Good deal! It is one of the rooms (the smaller one) in a 3 bedroom apartment in a nice compound on the corner of Taxing Rd, Xinzha Rd in Jing'an District. It is 8 min walk away from West Nanjing Rd Station on line 2 and 12 min walk to Xinzha Rd Station and Hanzhong Rd station on line 1.
It is within several min walk to Plaza 66, Citic Square, West Gate shopping mall. There are many banks, supermarkets, convenience stores in the vicinity. Cinema,. theatre, bars also nearby. A gym is a cross from the street and a Mandarin school is in the same compound. The apartment belongs to a Mandarin school in the compound, it is kept for summer use every year, therefore the rest of the year is empty. There is almost no profit in renting out the apartment at this price, but it does help to balance the expenses spent on the apartment. Therefore, the 2300 monthly rental (excluding utility bills) is the bottom price for balance and there wont be negotiation. The apartment is 142sqm big, spacious, comfort with all modern amenities. Wireless is available. Currenty one 26yrs French boy lives there. He is working in a marketing company and does Chines and other business study in free time and on weekends. He is easy going and nice. Besides the small room mentioned here, the master bedroom with its own bathroom is also availble, 3300rmb per month. Generally, long term rental is prefered (due to the summer use next year, the longest rental is from now to mid June in 2010, about 9months). 3month rental should be minimal. As a standard practice, 3 months rental and one month deposit ahead is required for renting. We are determined to rent out the room in a few days, so those who can move in before mid September could arrange a visit to see the apartment. The surrounding of the apartment is very diverse; there is a little market close to the compound with typical street food and the 'old' Chinese life. 2 minutes from there, there is Huaihai Road and its craziness, its nightclubs and its big malls full of European brands. People's Square is in a 10-15 minutes walk distance, as well as one of Shanghai's most popular going out spots: Xintiandi. The flat is equipped with whatever you need to make you feel comfortable (washing machine, internet, fridge, microwave, kitchen tools, etc...) The cozy room is equipped with a huge mirrored closet as well as a desk and a rack. Since the room is facing west and has a huge window it is always bright with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Right now, there are two other room mates living in the flat, 2 Austrian students. We are easy going, open-minded and always up for a cosy drink on our amazing and incredibly cosy sofa. Nevertheless, we prefer to keep the apartment tidy. Only in about 5 min by foot you can access Metro line 10 via the station Yu Garden which gives you (amongst others) a great connection to most of Shanghai's great Universities!
